We keep as little information about you as possible, and we are happy to explain all of it in plain English. You can browse and search every dish on this site without an account and without telling us who you are.
On a review, other visitors see only your first name, your community rank, your rating, the date, and what you wrote. Your email address, your password and your full name are never shown publicly.
We only use what is needed to make the site work: a sign-in session so you stay logged in, and storage in your own browser for things like your order list. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies, which is why you are not being pestered by a cookie pop-up.
We use trusted service providers to host the site, store its information securely and send account emails such as your verification link. They act on our instructions only. Where restaurant ratings are shown from Google, those come from Google's own public listings.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your account and reviews deleted. Just ask and we will sort it, normally within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information.
We keep your account information for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account yourself from My account: your login, email, name and preferences are erased, and your dish ratings stay but become anonymous. Ask us if you would also like your ratings removed.
