Community terms

No small print games. Here is what you can expect from Find Your Dish, and what we ask of you in return.

1. What Find Your Dish does

We help you find dishes served by restaurants and takeaways in Bangor, compare what they cost, and see what other local people thought of them. We are an independent listing and search service. We do not cook food, take payments for food, or deliver it.

2. Menus, prices and offers

  • Dishes, prices, extras and discounts are taken from each restaurant's own menu or supplied by the business. We never invent them.
  • Restaurants change prices, menus and opening hours whenever they like, sometimes without telling anyone. Always check with the restaurant before ordering — the price and terms they give you at the time of ordering are the ones that count.
  • Discounts belong to the restaurant, not to us. Whether an offer applies is decided by the restaurant and its own conditions.
  • Allergy and dietary information is only shown where a menu clearly states it. If you have an allergy or intolerance, always speak to the restaurant directly. Never rely on this site for that.

3. Ordering food

When you tap to order or call, you leave us and deal directly with the restaurant. Your order, payment, delivery, collection, refunds and any complaint about the food are between you and that business. We are not a party to it.

4. Reviews — the rules that keep them useful

Reviews are the heart of this site, so they have to be genuine. By leaving one you agree that:

  • You actually ate the dish you are reviewing.
  • Your review is your own honest experience, not copied from anywhere else.
  • You will not post abuse, threats, discriminatory language, personal details about staff or other customers, spam, adverts or links.
  • You will not review your own business, or post reviews to damage a competitor.
  • Your first name, your community rank, your rating and your comments may be shown publicly beside that dish. Your email address is never shown.

We may hide or remove reviews that break these rules, and remove accounts that repeatedly do so. We do not remove a review simply because a business dislikes it.

5. Your account

You need an account to leave reviews and save preferences. Keep your login details to yourself, use an email address you can access, and do not pretend to be someone else. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

6. For restaurants and takeaways

Listings are free and we are happy to correct anything. If you own a business listed here and something is wrong — a price, a dish, your hours, your phone number — tell us and we will update it. If you would rather manage your own menu, get in touch.

7. Fair use and limits

Please use the site as a normal person looking for food. Do not scrape it, resell the listings, or try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it. We do our best to keep information accurate and the site available, but we cannot promise either is perfect, and we are not responsible for a meal that disappoints you or a price that has changed at the restaurant.

8. Changes and contact

If these terms change we will update this page. Northern Ireland law applies. To raise anything at all — a correction, a complaint, a review you think is unfair — use the form below.
